Considered the heros of this game, there are many variants and types of plants that work together to defend the Humans from the Zombies.

Humans

The player is a Humans , planting Plants to defend against Zombies One prominent character in the original games is Crazy Dave, he sells upgrades in the main game to help the player advance.

Zombies

Zombies are the main villain in the game, whose only goal is to get inside the humans house and eat their brains. As the game progresses on they send out bigger and stronger Zombies that require different Plants capable of handling them.
